Jacqueline Valmont Biography

- Jacqueline Valmont is a senior business and marketing strategist, with proven strategic experience in helping primarily Health Care clients accelerate their market share growth and improve their ROI. Jacqueline has an in-depth understanding of the unique issues and barriers to innovation currently facing Health Care companies, and of the key factors for success in this environment.
- Over the past 23 years, Jacqueline has worked with Senior Management teams on close to 80 strategic planning, opportunity assessment and organizational effectiveness assignments. She is well versed in all aspects of planning, and brings a curious mind, strong analytical skills, disciplined process, and a depth of healthcare industry experience to bear to each assignment.
- During her 14 year career in consulting, Jacqueline was a founding partner of MCG – The Marketplace Capabilities Group Inc., a Marketing and Sales Planning consultancy in Toronto, and the leader of Tandem International and Tower Perrin's Marketing Training Practice.
- Many of Jacqueline’s clients have worked with her for numerous years, and as a result, she has experienced the business results and people development that are associated with the work that she has been part of. To her clients, Jacqueline is a “trusted advisor”, able to develop long term relationships that deliver measurable business results. Experiencing positive results in the marketplace and in individuals’ careers, is for her, the most rewarding part of being in the consulting business.
- Over her career, Health Care clients have included: Allergan, Bayer Healthcare, Berlex Canada, GE Healthcare, Glaxo Wellcome, Insulet Corporation, MEDEC: Canadian Association of Medical Technology Companies), Paragon Pharmacy, Schering AG and St. Jude Medical. In her early consulting years, Jacqueline was also involved with leading Consumer Product companies such as Campbell’s, Effem Foods, Molson, Nestlé, and Sun-Rype Products.
- A significant portion of Jacqueline’s consulting work has been in the US and with Global Business Units. Over her career, she has worked on assignments in a wide range of countries including: Germany, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. As a result, Jacqueline has gained a deep appreciation of global health care trends and challenges.
- Prior to becoming a consultant, Jacqueline spent 9 years with Procter & Gamble in Brand Management, where she successfully introduced new brands.
- Jacqueline holds an MBA in Marketing from The Ross Business School at The University of Michigan, and a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University.
- Jacqueline is also an Allied Business Member of MEDEC, the Association for Canada’s Medical Technology Companies, supports them in their Strategic Planning Process, and is a member of their Governance and Leadership & Reputation Committees.
